Don't delay - your PTA membership supports students right away! We know you’ve heard from us before, and we truly need and appreciate your support! It's not easy to make the ask, and please know that we cannot do this without you. Last year, thanks to your support, we: - Hosted 22 onsite enrichment programs, 4 author visits, 5 Classical Cafés, 4 arts programs, and 11 hours of instruction for the IB Showcase.
- Funded 12 field trips, 11 teacher grants, 13 staff lunches, and supported 12 fifth-grade exhibition groups.
- Offered 57 Afters classes and provided support for 61 kids in the ISD Musical.
- Brought our community together with unforgettable events: over 600 people at International Night, 450 at Halloween Hoot, 500 at the Ice Cream Social, and 300 at STEM night, plus parent talks and a beach party.

And that’s just the beginning! Every donation helps us continue these programs and find new ways to strengthen our school community. Membership isn’t just symbolic - it’s action, it’s impact, it’s change in motion. Don’t wait for someone else to step in. This is your call to action. |
School Photo Day is Tomorrow, September 8th! Say cheese! School Photo Day is tomorrow, Monday, September 8. School photos will be taken outdoors, weather-permitting. Class photos are back and every child will receive a complimentary class photo. If you'd like to pre-order photo packages for your child, please order directly through Coffee Pond. Online ordering is strongly encouraged, as forms often get misplaced or forgotten at school - it's a laborious process to track down misplaced forms! Time to get those smiles picture ready! |

PTA in Action: Highlights That Made An Impact Every achievement reflects the strength of our school community. From classroom resources to joyful events, these successes show what we can accomplish together. This section of the newsletter will serve to highlight those moments and thank our volunteers each week. |
PTA-At-Work: Welcome Back Coffee A big thank-you to our administration and PTA for hosting a cheerful welcome back-to-school coffee on September 2! It was the perfect way to kick off the year - meeting our new leaders, Principal Hammack and Dr. Thompson, and hearing updates from our PTA President, Shruti Mody. The morning was filled with friendly conversations, reconnecting with old friends, and welcoming new ones into our community. |
Staff Hospitality for the first Staff Meeting of the year! On September 3, the PTA treated our amazing teachers and staff to delicious snacks! A big thank-you to all our PTA members for your continued support, and special thanks to our Nominating and Volunteer Team, along with our PTA Presidents, for organizing this thoughtful gesture. |

A note from Dr. Jones: Republican Primary on Tuesday (9/9) As mentioned in Dr. Jones' Friday note, the Greenwich Republican Municipal primary for Board of Estimate and Taxation will occur on Tuesday, September 9. Primaries traditionally attract a low voter turnout and GPS encourages our families and community to vote before and after normal school hours, or during the early voting period at Town Hall. Only Greenwich voters who are registered Republicans may vote in this primary election. Unregistered or unaffiliated voters generally are able to register as Republicans until noon on September 8th. For more information, please visit https://lwvgreenwich.org/. |
