Made by Kids. Loved by All: The Art Auction

This year’s Parent Social Auction isn’t just an event, it is a living art story told by our own kids. Our ISD artists in KG, 3rd, and 5th grade are transforming everyday materials into extraordinary works of art. Each week, we’ll share new glimpses into their creative process, building anticipation for the grand reveal of their one-of-a-kind masterpieces.

This week the artistic spotlight shifts from 5L, 5V, 3P, 3A, KM, and KF to the talented hands of KS and 3S. Their artworks are unfolding beautifully!  Explore the latest photos and get ready to bring home a truly unique piece at the upcoming auction.

Gatsby Glam Wine Toss

We Need Wine!

Help us stock up for the crowd-favorite game!  Drop-off your wine or liquor donations by Nov 14th - more bottles = more fun! Click here for drop-off locations.

Help us match last year's PTA participation - Join Today!

Close to 60 families are not members and we are yet to reach last year's benchmark for participation. That's a lot of families who aren't part of our amazing community and it's not the same without you.

Even if your schedule is packed and you cannot volunteer often, simply joining shows your support and helps fund the experiences that make our school so special.

And here’s a bonus: PTA members receive an exclusive discount to the Parent Social on November 15th - a fun night out for parents, teachers, staff, and friends to unwind, connect, and celebrate our incredible community!

SpiritWear: 10% Off Coupon Through 10/31

Looking for Spiritwear? Visit our local vendor - Logos Greenwich - to browse the entire collection available.  Logos donates $5 to the PTA for every ISD item sold.

There is a 10% coupon code through 10/31/2025 (Local10). In addition, families can place orders now through 10/31 and choose "pick up at ISD" so you don't have to pay shipping.

Repair ISD Garden Shed: Calling All Dragon Dads!

We also need a handy ISD Dad (or Mom or other community member) to help repair the garden shed window.  A rock has broken the glass, and we would like to find a volunteer who can assist with repair.

If you are knowledgeable about window repair and can lend a hand, or know someone who can, please reach out to Heather Woodworth, PTA Garden Chair, at garden@isdpta.org.

PTA in Action: Highlights!
Boo-tiful Night! Halloween Hoot Leaves Spirits High!

What a fang-tastic night! Because of YOU, our Halloween Hoot was a screaming success, full of giggles, goosebumps, and ghoulishly great memories.

A special cauldron of immense, never-ending thanks goes to:

  • Mr. Harris, our spell-binding DJ who kept the beats alive (muahaha!)
  • Principal Hammack & Assistant Principal Dr. Thompson, who thrilled us all with their legendary “Thriller” performance - the crowd was dying with excitement!
  • Our teachers: Mrs. Freeda, Ms. Daur, Ms. Murphy, Ms. Caminiti, Mr. Bragdon, Dr. Thompson, Ms. Clark, Ms. O’Connor, Mrs. Buddy, and Dr. Heikel for bravely joining the “Guess Who?” mystery game - your secret identities were almost too well-hidden!
  • Sparky (a.k.a. Aaron Shapiro, shhh!) for popping in - the kids absolutely loved seeing our favorite mascot in action!
  • Our custodians, the real wizards behind the scenes - thank you for your hard work, set-up spells, and cleanup magic!
  • Our Greenwich High School and Eastern Middle School student volunteers who swooped in like heroes and helped make the night absolutely spook-tacular!
  • And a gigantic THANK YOU to our Communications Team (Andrea Veytia and Betsy Decker) and the entire village of parent volunteers - from planning to decorating (our master decorator: Liz Inzitari) to running stations to photography and clean-up crew - you just showed up and got your hands dirty. Your spirit and teamwork made this event possible!

This night would not have been possible without the help of our PTA Family Events team (Khola Minhas and Afsana Zohir). Thanks to your dedication and ghostly good spirits, every child had a night full of magic, mystery, and monstrous fun. You helped make memories that will haunt us (in the happiest way) possible.

Please enjoy these snapshots of the fun from Friday night. As a reminder, these images are for internal viewing only and should not be posted on any external websites or social media sites.
