International Family Night at ISD

Friday, May 2nd | 6:00 - 8:00pm

ISD Gym & Cafe

International Family Night is a vibrant celebration of cultures, traditions, and global connections within our school community. This special evening brings families together to experience the rich diversity of our world through cultural exhibits, delicious international cuisine, and a lively Parade of Nations. Whether you're representing your heritage or simply enjoying the festivities, this event is a wonderful opportunity to learn, connect, and celebrate what makes up the "I" in ISD.

At the heart of the event are the Country Exhibits, where families transform tables into immersive cultural showcases. Visitors can explore displays featuring traditional clothing, artifacts, maps, and fun facts about different countries. Many exhibits also include hands-on activities, such as crafts or interactive games, allowing attendees to engage with different traditions in a meaningful way.

The International Potluck is another highlight, featuring a variety of homemade dishes from around the world. Families contribute savory appetizers, breads, and bite-sized desserts, offering everyone a chance to sample authentic flavors and culinary traditions. To accommodate allergies and dietary restrictions, all food donations must include an ingredient list, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience for all.

The evening concludes with the Parade of Nations, where participants proudly represent their heritage by walking together in traditional attire while carrying their country’s flag. This grand finale celebrates the unity and diversity of our community, fostering a deeper appreciation for the many cultures that make up our school.

International Family Night is more than just an event—it’s a chance to come together as a community, celebrate our shared and unique backgrounds, and create lasting memories. Whether you’re hosting a country exhibit, sharing a dish, or simply taking in the experience, we invite you to join us for this joyful celebration of culture and connection.
