Fundraising Committees

Our Fundraising events would typically include:

If you like planning raising money for a great cause, this is the committee for you. 

        

The VPs Fundraising oversee committees and can jump in when needed to help during planning and execution.

 

 


Book Fair Team

This Committee will run a Book Fair that both raises money and gets children excited about reading. This team organizes logistics including publicity and volunteers. Members of this Committee include Co-Chairs (2) and Book Fair Treasurer.


 


Parent Social Team

This event has an event chair and an auction chair as well as additional team members. 

 

EVENT TEAM: Help plan venue, food/drink, and entertainment for ISD Parent Social as well as promotion for the event.

AUCTION TEAM: Help secure auction items for the parent social silent auction. Most of this work can be done from home via email except for the occasional trip to pick up an auction item from a donor or to drop off donation papers to a business. Once items are obtained, enter item information into silent auction platform. 

Easy to do from your computer at work or home!

 

The event will be held in the fall, with most of the work in September-November.

 


Greenwich Color Challenge

This team make the Greenwich Color Challenge fundraiser happen! Visit link above for detailed job descriptions. We are planning on hosting the event in April 2024. Several jobs can be done from home/office in their entirety prior to the event day when you will need to be on site.

  • Greenwich Color Challenge (GCC) Co-Chair: The co-chairs will organize the team and ensure all parts of the Greenwich Color Challenge fundraiser run smoothly together. Co-Chairs lead important logistics such as permits, police, GEMS, etc & community outreach. Day of will serve as troubleshooter.
  • Greenwich Color Challenge (GCC) Sponsorship Coordinators: This team will begin outreach in the winter for cash sponsors for GCC. Many requests can be sent over email with additional followup. Once sponsors have been secured team is responsible for collecting sponsor logos to pass on to T-shirt coordinator. Can be done from home/office!
  • GCC Merchandising Coordinator: In this role you will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing all GCC merchandise including swag to be sold. You will also be responsible for keeping inventory numbers current on the registration form for online sales.
  • GCC Volunteer Coordinator: Coordinate the volunteers needed to make the GCC a success. Establish necessary jobs by consulting with GCC team members, post volunteer roles on ISDPTA.ORG as well as the Greenwich High School online job board, allocate volunteers to specific jobs for the day of the race and coordinate those volunteers on race day. All of the work prior to race day can be done from home over email.
  • GCC Obstacle Course Coordinator: Plan for and oversee obstacle course. Make sure all equipment in the storage space is in working order for the event and plan for any additional new obstacles, foam machine, as well as course marking with flagging or tape. Set up obstacles course the day before the race with volunteers, monitor the course during the event and supervise breakdown.
  • GCC Social Media, Marketing & Promotion Coordinator: Promote the event through press, social media, posters, banners, flyers as well as Dragon Tales, blasts to the ISD community.
  • GCC Race Course Coordinator: Plan for and execute the street portion of the event by securing locations for color stations, setting up color stations (purchasing color powder and all other station needs), marking the race path, setting up and cleaning up on race day. Volunteers will assist on race day.
  • GCC Registration & Race Pack Coordinators: This role is responsible for organizing race packs and registration. Duties include ordering all materials needed for the race packs including string bags, wristbands, and t-shirts. T-shirts are coordinated with sponsorship team to make sure all sponsor logos are on the shirts.
  • GCC Food & Prize Coordinators: Ask for food donations from local vendors and pick up donations prior to the event. Set up food tables on race day. Purchase and organize prizes for the prize wheel. Set up prize wheel on race day.
  • GCC Entertainment Coordinator: Secure DJ and other entertainment for event. In the past we have had live music as well as face painters, balloon demonstrations, Zumba demos, etc.

SpiritWear Team

This team is responsible for designing, ordering, and selling ISD Dragon logo merchandise. This is a great way to raise money for the school and children love to display their school logo. We are looking for another team member.

 

 


School Photos

Help capture memories by volunteering to coordinate school photos which include figuring out logistics with the photographer, recruiting volunteers to help on School Photo Day, assisting teachers when class photos are taken and helping with photo distribution. School Photo Day is usually in September.
