If you would like to help us keep our school beautiful, show our support to our teachers and staff, or organize social events for parents, this is a great team for you.

The VP Volunteers & School Support oversees these committees and can jump in when needed to help during planning and execution.

Hospitality - Faculty Meetings

Throughout the year, the PTA Hospitality Committee coordinates food and drinks for Teachers and Staff members to show them how much we appreciate them and acknowledge the hard work that they do! The team provides refreshments to power the teachers through their monthly meetings as they plan curriculum programming for their students. We are looking for several team members to help with monthly staff meeting hospitality. You would help coordinate / prepare food and drink for the staff meetings on the first Wednesday of the month. Come help out on this great committee that brings a smile to our teachers every month!

Hospitality - School Events

This team of volunteers coordinates hospitality (food and drink) for certain events during the school year. Their responsibilities include set up and clean up, and purchase of refreshments and simple foods/snacks.

Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week Committee

This team has the responsibility to say “Thank You” to all the faculty and staff that make ISD the amazing place that it is. This Committee organizes a week of “Thank You’s” in May, which historically includes coordinating a breakfast, lunch, and gifts for all the ISD staff. This team has a chair and is looking for committee members.

School Beautification

This Committee with help make the school more inviting by planting annuals near the front entrance. You will discuss plans with Mrs. Firmender and seasonally plant annuals in areas such as around the center tree and in planter pots.

Field Day

Support our staff on Field Day by setting up tents and water stations as well as purchasing and handing out popsicles for students. This is a fun way to be involved in a wonderful school day!

Pit Crew

The PTA routinely needs volunteers to help lift, carry and build items for the various events it hosts throughout the year. This role does require some heavy lifting and manual labor. Sign up to be in the crew and the chair will reach out when the need arises.
