Traditional School Support Committees include:

If you would like to help us keep our school beautiful, show our support to our teachers and staff, or organize social events for parents, this is a great team for you.
The VP Volunteers & School Support oversees these committees and can jump in when needed to help during planning and execution.
Hospitality - School Staff
The PTA provides refreshments for teachers/staff several times during the year. In this role you will assist in securing vendors and coordinate with school.
Hospitality - Parent Events
This team of volunteers coordinates hospitality (food and drink) for certain events during the school year. Their responsibilities include set up and clean up, and purchase of refreshments and simple foods/snacks.
Teacher & Staff Appreciation Week Committee
This team has the responsibility to say “Thank You” to all the faculty and staff that make ISD the amazing place that it is. This Committee organizes a week of “Thank You’s” in May, which historically includes coordinating a breakfast, lunch, and gifts for all the ISD staff. This team has a chair and is looking for committee members.
This Committee with help make the school more inviting by planting annuals near the front entrance. You will discuss plans with Mrs. Ricci and seasonally plant annuals in areas such as around the center tree and in planter pots. This team has has a chair and is looking for committee members.
The purpose of this role is to create community among parents and help parents get to know each other. Responsibilities for this role include coordinating twice yearly grade level socials (Beginning of the year, Before Nomination time). This includes picking dates/ times that do not overlap with other grades and calling and reserving an area at a local restaurant for parents to meet. Communicating social events is coordinated with class parents for each grade. Social chair will also assist class parents if they need help with setting up class level social events.
Support our staff on Field Day by setting up tents and water stations as well as purchasing and handing out popsicles for students. This is a fun way to be involved in a wonderful school day!
Headed by Chris Burdick -The PTA routinely needs volunteers to help lift, carry and build items for the various events it hosts throughout the year. This role does require some heavy lifting and manual labor. Sign up to be in the crew and Chris will reach out when the need arises.
